Explorations of Identity In Contemporary Native American Art. Guest Lecturer, Sponsored by the Anchorage Museum of History and Art.  Phillip was the opening speaker at the Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center Auditorium during the symposium. Phillip's North Wind masks are currently on display in this traveling museum exhibition now in Anchorage. Many thanks to the staff for making this a wonderful symposium. Studio Location - I have a studio in beautiful Baker City, Oregon. Baker is nestled between the Blue Mountains and the Wallowa Mountains and is surrounded by 4 million acres of Wilderness and National Forest. The Last of the Indian Wars were fought here and much "pre-historic" evidence can still be found in the area. Interestingly enough, many Alaskan's have retired to this area.

Works in Bronze and GlassSmaller pieces have now been cast in bronze through Blue Mountain Fine Arts foundry here in Baker City. I hope to have smaller cast glass through Savoy Studio's http://www.savoystudios.com/ in Portland, Oregon by the beginning of the year. Some of my first bronze and glass pieces will be integrated into larger mixed media pieces. Full bronzes are scheduled for next year.

Phillip with with good NYC friend   "Bunny" at the opening of Changing Hands at the Museum of Art and Design in New York City. Bunny, a NYC artist and art gallery designer,  was an invaluable assistant in helping set up my booth at the Smithsonian. He was also an awesome tour guide showing me many high points of New York city life.   I met Bunny in Eastern Oregon before he moved to NYC. Thanks a million Bunny!

This is totally hilarious and is an awesome story. I was informed by the dentist that I make great teeth and that they are actually harder to drill into then human teeth.
