What are your options?

Short term: You might have one special event coming up that requires a perfect piece of art be on display, so buying a piece doesn't make sense. We'll work with you to make sure you have the perfect statement piece n the size you want, all under a contract that works exactly to your specifications. Please note: rental fees are generally based as a percentage of the value of the art. However, there is a minimum charge of $50 for special short-term events, plus set-up and transportation.

1 - 6 Month Rental: Want to rent something on a month-to-month basis without entering into a lease contract? We'll work with you on that as well. Note: prices are generally higher for 1 - 6 month rental contracts than they are for longer-term contracts and leases. Fees will be a percentage of the value of the art, plus a set-up fee and transportation costs.

6 - 12 Month Rental: Still interested in renting, but want to sign a contract to rent over a longer term? We'll make sure that you have the piece for the period of time you choose, and at a lower percentage rate than you would get under a shorter term contract. Again, fees will be a percentage of the value of the art, plus a set-up fee and transportation costs.

Under rental contracts, a fair percentage of the rental payments will be applied toward purchase if the renter decides to buy the art they are renting.

Lease: Leases are entered into for those who are interested in a longer-term commitment, and who may want to have their lease payments applied to purchase or buy-out at any time. Monthly fees are a percentage of the value of the art, but at a lower rate. Fees include set-up and transportation costs.

Under lease options, all lease payments will be applied to the total value of the art.

Multiple pieces and/or locations: Special contracts are available for clients wishing to lease or rent multiple pieces in one location or various locations. Please inquire with YupikMask for details on leasing or renting under this option.

Rotation option: Lessees under a lease contract are provided a rotation option for a set fee. Fees are based on value of art and frequency of rotation.

**Important Notes**

Insurance: From the moment of installation until the moment the art is back in our possession, the lessee is responsible for insurance costs. Payment for any damage, changes, adjustments, etc. will be charged to the lessee.

All lessees or renters must be approved by YupikMask: Alaskan Native Fine Art representatives. This includes credit checks and references.

Advantages: If you’ve had your eye on a large piece but find you don’t have the capital to buy, or if you want the art but don’t want to commit to one piece over the long term, now is the perfect time for you to consider renting or leasing as an option. We’ve already had a lot of interest in the program, so get on the list early.

Reasons to consider rental or leasing of fine art over purchase for home or business:

  • Acquire fine art for display without large up-front capital outlay
  • Low monthly rental/lease payments are tax deductible for businesses or corporations
  • Enhance corporate or personal image
  • Improve corporate / personal environment and company morale
  • No commitment required to any work of art. Art can be changed frequently if desired
  • Wide range of term options
  • Easy buy-out options available

Please feel free to forward this on to anyone you think might be interested.

"And to all those who have wondered if America's beacon still burns as bright, tonight we proved once more that the true strength of our nation comes not from the might of our arms or the scale of our wealth, but from the enduring power of our ideals: democracy, liberty, opportunity, and unyielding hope."       Barack Obama, President-Elect, November 4, 2008
